Item Description

Every Avatar fan knows the ache of this place: a mountaintop home of the Air Nomads, standing empty after the Fire Nation's attack, waiting a hundred years for the last airbender to come back. Abandoned Air Temple turns that bittersweet landmark into a white land with a surprisingly useful second act.

Early on it simply taps for white, and it enters untapped as long as you already control a basic land, which most Commander mana bases manage without trying. Later, when your hand is empty and the board has stalled, pay four mana and tap it to put a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control. Token decks, +1/+1 counter strategies and white decks that tend to run out of gas get a repeatable team-wide boost from a land slot, without giving up a spell to get it.

This is the Avatar: The Last Airbender printing, collector number 263, illustrated by Dom Lay, in foil. The flavor text remembers the temple when it was full of monks, lemurs and bison, a quiet reminder of everything Aang lost, and the foil finish gives a little extra shine to a land that will see plenty of table time.
