Item Description
Zimone thinks in fractals. The Quandrix prodigy first met at Strixhaven treats numbers as raw magic, and this Foundations card turns that philosophy into exponential growth. She is a four-mana green-blue legendary Human Wizard, a 1/4, and at the beginning of combat on your turn she puts a +1/+1 counter on each of up to two target creatures you control.
Her activated ability is where the math gets wild: for green, blue and a tap, double the number of each kind of counter on up to two target creatures and/or artifacts you control. Each kind, so +1/+1 counters, charge counters, oil counters and anything else on those permanents all double at once. Feed her creatures that enter with counters, artifacts that run on charge counters, or proliferate effects, and two modest threats become enormous within a couple of turns. She makes a natural commander for Simic counters decks and an easy addition to any deck that already cares about counters.
Her flavor text captures the attitude: "'Impossible' is a construct born from the assumed limits of our intellectual capabilities." This is the Foundations borderless printing, collector number 351, illustrated by Raluca Marinescu, in non-foil, with the art running edge to edge across the card.
