This Wii U Pro Controller in black comes as a loose accessory — the controller itself, without a box or additional accessories. Coolection has fully tested this controller and it was performing as expected, though as with any piece of vintage hardware, feel free to keep in mind that real-world performance can vary a bit depending on your specific setup and system. If you'd like a closer look before committing, just hit the "Request Additional Pictures" button on this product page and we'll send over high-resolution shots of the exact unit you'd be getting. Item Description

The Wii U Pro Controller is Nintendo's answer to the traditional gamepad — a sleek, comfortable alternative to the bulky GamePad for players who wanted a more conventional controller experience on the Wii U. With its symmetrical button layout, twin analog sticks, and that iconic Nintendo build quality, it sits comfortably in your hands for long sessions and handles everything from platformers to shooters without a hitch. The battery life on this thing is genuinely impressive — Nintendo advertised up to 80 hours on a single charge, which puts most modern controllers to shame. It connects wirelessly via Bluetooth and syncs cleanly to the Wii U console.

Beyond its native Wii U role, the Pro Controller has become a favorite in the wider retro and modern gaming community thanks to its broad compatibility. With the right adapter, it pairs seamlessly with the Nintendo Switch, and PC users have long used it as a reliable Bluetooth or wired gamepad. It's a well-built piece of hardware that has aged gracefully, and the black colorway gives it a clean, understated look that fits any setup.

Whether you're replacing a controller that's gone missing, rounding out your Wii U collection, or putting together a retro gaming station, having a Pro Controller in the mix makes a genuine difference. Games like Bayonetta 2, Mario Kart 8, and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U are simply more enjoyable with one in hand — these are titles that were clearly designed with this kind of input in mind.

A smart pick for any Wii U owner who wants the best possible way to play their library, or for anyone building out a versatile retro controller collection.
