Item Description
Vaan starts Final Fantasy XII as a street orphan in Rabanastre who dreams of becoming a sky pirate, and his Magic card plays exactly like a light-fingered thief with big ambitions.
Whenever one or more of your Scouts, Pirates or Rogues deal combat damage to a player, you exile the top card of that player's library and may cast it. If you don't, you create a Treasure token instead, so every successful hit pays out either way. Cast a spell you don't own, and every Scout, Pirate and Rogue you control gets a +1/+1 counter, which means stealing from opponents literally grows your crew. For a three-mana 2/2, that's a lot of upside packed into one legend.
In Commander, Vaan leads a red deck built around evasive Pirates and Rogues, theft effects and Treasure, where every connection turns an opponent's library into your resource. This is the Final Fantasy borderless printing, collector number 390, illustrated by Kato Ayaka, in foil, a full-art presentation of the character that looks fantastic at the head of a deck.
