Item Description
Torbran turns every red spark into a bonfire. If a red source you control would deal damage to an opponent or a permanent an opponent controls, it deals that much damage plus 2 instead. A 1-damage pinger becomes a 3-damage pinger, each attacking red token hits for two extra, and a burn spell that splits its damage gains the bonus on every target.
That per-instance bonus is what makes the Dwarf Noble so dangerous in Commander. Red token swarms, Goblin decks and anything that deals small amounts of damage repeatedly get dramatically stronger the moment Torbran lands, and the 2/4 body is sturdy enough to survive plenty of early combat. He works as a commander for mono-red aggression or as the card that turns an ordinary board into a lethal one.
This is the Throne of Eldraine extended-art printing, collector number 367, illustrated by Grzegorz Rutkowski, in non-foil. The extended-art frame widens the illustration toward the card's edges, a handsome upgrade for a commander you will be staring at all game.
