Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 followed by opening its parks up for free-roaming goals. This 2025 collection from Iron Galaxy and Activision brings both together again, rebuilt with modern visuals and the same tight, responsive handling that powered the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 remake.
The biggest change will spark debate at any skate shop: THPS4's free-roaming career has been reworked into the classic two-minute run format, with its goals reimagined rather than simply copied. The trade-off is a career that flows the same way across both games, and the collection sweetens the deal with new spots such as the Movie Studio and the Waterpark alongside returning favorites like Suburbia, London and Alcatraz.
Every skater gets a Solo Tour, and the roster bridges eras, from Tony Hawk himself and names from the original games such as Kareem Campbell and Chad Muska to modern stars like Rayssa Leal and Yuto Horigome. Create-a-Skater lets you spend the cash earned in runs on new gear, Create-a-Park lets you build and share your own lines, and modes like Single Session, Free Skate and Speed Run keep the replay value high. Split-screen multiplayer brings back the couch rivalries that made these games a sleepover fixture.
Each level hides stat points, cash and a secret Iron Galaxy logo to hunt down, and Pro Goals and Expert Challenges open up once you have cleaned out the goals and gold medals. On Switch, that pick-up-and-play two-minute structure is a natural fit for handheld sessions, and the package puts two of the series' strongest entries side by side on one system, the revert-powered peak and its free-roaming follow-up, both tuned for a new generation of skaters.
