Item Description

Tiana spent The Princess and the Frog working every shift she could to open a restaurant of her own, and this card captures how fiercely she protects what she has built. Tiana - Restaurant Owner is a three-cost Amber character with 1 strength, 4 willpower and a hefty 2 lore, a Storyborn Hero and Princess who is happiest questing.

Her Special Reservation ability is what makes that questing safe. Whenever one of your characters is challenged while Tiana is exerted, the challenger gets -3 strength for the turn unless its player pays 3 ink. Send her to quest, and suddenly every challenge against your side, Tiana included, costs your opponent either a big chunk of ink or most of their attacker's strength. It is a smart, defensive way to protect a lead in lore, and it rewards decks that like to quest wide and dare the opponent to do something about it. Keep in mind she is uninkable, so she earns her slot purely through what she does on the board.
