Our grade: Near Mint. Pictured: this printing of the card. Every card ships triple-sleeved — a soft sleeve, a deck sleeve and a rigid top loader.
Item Description
Two new Slivers every upkeep, and every Sliver you control swinging with double strike and haste. Thrumming Hivepool is a hive in an artifact. It costs six, but affinity for Slivers knocks one off for each Sliver you control, so in a dedicated deck it often lands for a fraction of that. From then on it creates two 1/1 colorless Sliver tokens at the beginning of each of your upkeeps, and those tokens can attack immediately because the Hivepool hands every Sliver haste along with double strike.
That makes it a frightening engine in Sliver Commander decks: the lords you already run pump the free tokens, and double strike means every one of those bonuses counts twice in combat. Even outside a full Sliver build, an artifact that manufactures two hasty double strikers each turn is a threat opponents have to deal with quickly.
This is the Edge of Eternities extended-art printing, collector number 356, illustrated by Rob Rey, in non-foil. Edge of Eternities took Magic into deep space in 2025, and the card's flavor text hints at something unsettling: "I'll never escape this rock, but I fear they will."
