Item Description

The Sly Collection brings together all three of Naughty Dog alumnus Sucker Punch's beloved PlayStation 2 stealth-platformer adventures — Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus, Sly 2: Band of Thieves, and Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves — remastered in high definition for the PlayStation 3. It's a rare kind of compilation that feels genuinely generous: three full games, each with its own distinct personality and progression, packaged together as a love letter to one of the PS2 era's most charming and stylish franchises.

The Sly Cooper series occupies a unique place in gaming history. Where other platformers of the early 2000s leaned into brute force or speed, Sly leaned into wit and elegance. You play as Sly Cooper, a raccoon thief from a long line of legendary thieves, navigating beautifully cel-shaded worlds with stealth mechanics, timing-based gameplay, and a cast of memorable characters — including the loyal Bentley and Murray — who each bring their own playable style to the mix. The writing is sharp, the humor holds up, and the art direction still looks fantastic.

Each game in the trilogy builds meaningfully on the last. The first entry is a tight, focused introduction to the world and mechanics. Sly 2 opens things up dramatically into a more ambitious hub-and-mission structure widely considered the high point of the series. Sly 3 rounds out the trilogy with an ensemble approach that lets you play as a full crew of thieves. Having all three together in one package makes it easy to experience the full arc of Sly's story without hunting down three separate PS2 discs.

The PS3 remaster also added Move compatibility and 3D support for those who wanted them, but the real draw is simply having these three classics looking and running their best on a modern television. The HD treatment does the cel-shaded visuals real justice, making the cartoon-like worlds pop in a way the original hardware couldn't quite deliver.

This is a perfect pick for collectors who want a complete, cherished piece of PlayStation history, fans of the platformer genre looking for something with genuine personality and depth, or parents hunting for something the whole family can enjoy. If you missed the Sly Cooper trilogy the first time around, this is the best possible way to experience it.
