Item Description
Scar's “Be Prepared” is a song about bargains, and Teeth and Ambitions captures that perfectly: something on your side gets hurt so something on theirs pays the price. The flavor text borrows a line from the song in which Scar reminds his would-be allies that his bargain comes with obligations.
This two-cost Ruby action song deals 2 damage to a chosen character of yours in order to deal 2 damage to another chosen character, and any character with cost 2 or more can exert to sing it for free. Used well, it is cheap removal: point the self-damage at a sturdy, high-willpower character who shrugs it off, or at one that is about to be banished anyway, and finish off an opposing character that a challenge left hanging by a thread. In Ruby decks that like to trade aggressively, that kind of efficiency adds up quickly.
This is the Rise of the Floodborn printing, collector number 130/204, a Rare illustrated by Jake Parker, in non-foil. Rise of the Floodborn was Lorcana's second set, and this song is a great pickup for The Lion King collectors and anyone building around Ruby's damage-trading style.
