Item Description
Moana's glitter-obsessed giant crab hoards every shiny thing he can find, and his Lorcana card plays exactly like that. Tamatoa - So Shiny! is an eight-cost Sapphire character from The First Chapter, a Storyborn Villain with 5 strength, 8 willpower and 1 lore. The subtitle is a nod to his showstopping villain song in the film.
His two abilities build a treasure pile. WHAT HAVE WE HERE? lets you return an item card from your discard to your hand when you play him and again whenever he quests, so items that were banished or used up keep coming back. GLAM gives him +1 lore for each item you have in play, which means a board of three items turns a 1-lore character into a 4-lore quester. With 8 willpower he is also hard to challenge off the table, giving him time to collect. He is inkable, so early copies can fuel your inkwell while later ones become the finisher of an item-heavy Sapphire deck.
This is The First Chapter printing, collector number 159/204, a Super Rare illustrated by Leonardo Giammichele, offered here in non-foil. Pulled from Disney Lorcana's very first set, it is a great piece for Moana fans and anyone building around items.
