Our grade: Near Mint. Pictured: this printing of the card. Every card ships triple-sleeved — a soft sleeve, a deck sleeve and a rigid top loader.
Item Description
Stormfist Crusader offers the whole table a simple deal: everybody draws more, and everybody bleeds. At the beginning of your upkeep, each player draws a card and loses 1 life, and the Crusader itself is a two-mana 2/2 Human Knight with menace, so it can't be blocked except by two or more creatures.
The trick is making that symmetry lopsided. In an aggressive black-red deck you're happy to trade life for cards because your opponents are the ones under pressure, and the extra draws keep your hand stocked with threats. In Commander it slots into group-slug strategies, pairs beautifully with Underworld Dreams to punish every extra draw, and fits right into a Nekusar, the Mindrazer deck that wants the whole table drawing. It is also a handy two-drop for Knights decks.
This is the Throne of Eldraine extended-art printing, collector number 383, illustrated by Chris Rallis, in non-foil. Eldraine's storybook world of knights and courts suits the Crusader perfectly, and the extended frame gives the artwork room to stretch across the full width of the card.
