About this game
Factor 5's 1998 arcade-style flight shooter for Nintendo 64, published by Nintendo, puts you in the cockpit as Luke Skywalker leading Rogue Squadron after the destruction of the Death Star. It was a showcase for the Expansion Pak, pushing the hardware to render sweeping planetary landscapes for air-to-ground and air-to-air missions: dogfights, bombing runs, reconnaissance, rescues, engaging AT-ATs on Hoth, and defending Calamari City from Imperial bombers. The analog stick makes banking and strafing feel natural, and the fan service is close to reverent, with the Imperial March over TIE fighter engagements, Star Destroyers on the horizon, and Wedge Antilles on the comms. Beyond the X-Wing and A-Wing, unlockable ships including the Millennium Falcon reward players chasing gold medals on every stage. One of the console's defining titles.
