Item Description

Artifacts break, get destroyed and end up in the graveyard; Reconstruction is blue's tidy answer. For a single blue mana, this sorcery returns target artifact card from your graveyard to your hand, ready to be cast again. It's a modest effect, but in decks full of artifacts that sacrifice themselves, get blown up by opponents or are discarded on purpose, a one-mana rebuy adds up quickly.

Artifact-heavy Commander and casual decks have always appreciated that kind of cheap recursion, especially for key pieces like mana rocks, equipment or a combo artifact that an opponent just destroyed. The flavor text explains where the skill came from: “Tedious research made the Sages of the College of Lat-Nam adept in repairing broken artifacts.”

This is the Revised Edition printing from 1994, collector number 77, a common in non-foil, illustrated by Anson Maddocks. Revised's white borders and early-era frame give it the warm, old-school look that collectors of early Magic love, and it slots right into an old-border binder alongside its 1994 neighbors.
