Item Description

Raphael never did patience, and neither does this card. Raphael's Technique is a red instant that gives each player the option to discard their hand and draw seven new cards, the classic wheel effect, delivered with a Turtle's sense of timing. Its normal cost is six mana, but its Sneak cost is just three, available when you return an unblocked attacker you control to your hand during the declare blockers step.

That Sneak window is where the fun lives. Swing with a cheap creature, scoop it back up once it goes unblocked, and refill to seven at instant speed in the middle of combat, then replay the attacker or whatever you just drew. Red wheel decks, discard-themed builds and Commander tables that love chaotic hand refills all have a use for it. Because each player only may take the deal, opponents sitting on a grip they like can pass, so the best moment to fire it is when they are running low.

This is the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles printing, collector number 237, in the set's borderless showcase treatment, illustrated by Daniel Elson and offered here in non-foil. For Turtles fans it puts the hothead of the four brothers into a deck where his signature move is, fittingly, flipping the whole table.
