Item Description
Quilled Greatwurm rewards every creature that connects. It's a six-mana 7/7 Wurm with trample, and whenever a creature you control deals combat damage during your turn, you put that many +1/+1 counters on it, provided it survives. Smash in for 7 and the Greatwurm becomes a 14/14 for the next attack, while the rest of your team grows by whatever damage it deals too.
The second ability turns that growth into resilience. If the Greatwurm dies, you can cast it from your graveyard by removing six counters from among creatures you control in addition to paying its other costs, and after a few attacks you'll usually have counters to spare. Counter-focused green decks, +1/+1 counter Commander builds and anything with proliferate get a finisher that's hard to keep down.
This mythic comes from Foundations, the 2024 set designed as a jumping-on point for new players. This is the Foundations printing, collector number 111, illustrated by Michal Ivan and offered here in non-foil.
