Item Description

Every Sleeping Beauty fan knows how the story ends: Phillip, sword raised, facing down Maleficent in dragon form. Swordsman of the Realm brings that moment to the Lorcana table. When you play him, SLAYER OF DRAGONS banishes a chosen opposing Dragon character, a built-in answer to threats like Maleficent - Monstrous Dragon.

Beyond the dragon hunt, he is a seven-cost Emerald Storyborn Hero Prince with 3 strength, a towering 9 willpower and 3 lore, which makes him extremely hard to remove through challenges. PRESSING THE ADVANTAGE readies him after he challenges a damaged character, so he can finish off a wounded opponent and stand back up ready afterward instead of sitting exerted and exposed. He is inkable too, so an extra copy is never a dead card.

This is the Shimmering Skies printing, collector number 83/204, a Super Rare illustrated by Ian MacDonald, in non-foil. Shimmering Skies was Lorcana's fifth set, and this Phillip is a natural fit for Emerald decks and for any collector following the Sleeping Beauty cast.
