Item Description
Every card your opponent throws away ends up as a card in your hand. Prince John, Greediest of All is a three-cost Emerald Dreamborn Villain with 1 strength, 2 willpower and 2 lore, and his I SENTENCE YOU ability lets you draw a card for each card an opponent discards. Ward keeps him safe from being chosen by opposing actions and abilities, so to remove him directly they have to challenge.
That makes him a nasty partner for any discard effect in your deck. Force a discard and you refill your own hand at the same moment, turning a simple bit of disruption into a two-way swing in cards. Even on his own he quests for 2 lore at a bargain cost, and a cheap, hard-to-target questor is exactly what Emerald wants while it pressures the lore race. He is uninkable, so plan your ink around him.
The design leans into the tax-hungry ruler from Disney's 1973 Robin Hood, with flavor text lifted from one of his best-remembered lines in the film. Koni's Dreamborn take on the lion pairs nicely with Koni's later Prince John, Gold Lover from Shimmering Skies.
