Instead, you play as Wes, a rogue who defects from the criminal organization Cipher and teams up with the mysterious Rui to track down and rescue so-called "Shadow Pokemon" — powerful creatures whose hearts have been artificially closed off from emotion and twisted into weapons.
The core mechanic that sets Colosseum apart is Snagging — a system that lets you steal Pokemon directly from enemy trainers in battle.
