Item Condition

This PlayStation Vita Slim console comes as a loose unit — the hardware itself, ready to go, without the original retail box or any paperwork. Coolection has fully tested this Vita Slim and it was performing as expected, though as with all vintage portable hardware, real-world performance can vary a little depending on your memory card, software, and setup. If you'd like a closer look before committing, hit the "Request Additional Pictures" button on this page and we'll pull high-resolution photos of the exact unit for you. Please refer to the provided photos for the exact details of the item's condition.

Item Description

The PlayStation Vita Slim — officially the PCH-2000 series — is Sony's refined second take on the Vita, trimming down the body, swapping the OLED display for an LCD panel, and adding a built-in 1GB of internal storage along with a more conventional microUSB charging port. The result is a lighter, more pocketable machine that still delivers the full Vita experience: dual analog sticks, front and rear touch surfaces, a crisp 5-inch screen, and access to one of the most underappreciated game libraries in handheld history. Cross-buy titles, remote play with a PlayStation 4, and a back catalog packed with JRPGs, indie darlings, and PlayStation Portable classics through the digital store make this a surprisingly capable little system even today.

What makes the Vita Slim especially appealing as a collecting or playing piece is how it wears its portability so comfortably. The slimmer profile and the move away from the proprietary magnetic charging cable of the original Vita make it the more practical daily driver of the two hardware revisions. Battery life got a modest bump too, which matters when you're deep into a dungeon crawler on the go. The form factor is sleek and modern-feeling in the hand — it's easy to forget this hardware is over a decade old.

Picking up a loose unit is the smart move for anyone who already has their accessories sorted, wants a second Vita for a different profile or region library, or is simply replacing a unit that's seen better days. The Vita's proprietary memory cards are still easy to find, and with the homebrew and custom firmware scene as active as it's ever been, there are more reasons than ever to keep a Vita in rotation. Loose hardware at a fair price is the straightforward entry point.

This one is ideal for the lapsed Vita fan ready to dive back in, or the PlayStation collector filling out their Sony handheld lineage.
