The PlayStation Classic Mini comes as a loose unit with two controllers included — everything you need to plug in and play right out of the box. Coolection has fully tested this unit and it was performing as expected, though as with any piece of vintage hardware, real-world performance can vary a little depending on your TV setup and how it's connected. If you'd like a closer look before committing, just hit the "Request Additional Pictures" button on this page and we'll send over high-resolution photos of the exact unit you're getting. Please refer to the provided photos for the exact details of the item's condition.

Item Description

Sony released the PlayStation Classic Mini in 2018 as a love letter to the original PlayStation era, packing a miniaturized version of the iconic grey console with a pre-loaded library of 20 PS1 titles. The lineup includes genre-defining classics like Final Fantasy VII, Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil: Director's Cut, Tekken 3, and Twisted Metal — a snapshot of the decade that turned Sony into a household name in gaming. The console replicates the look of the original PSX hardware down to the button labels and controller ports, and the included controllers are faithful recreations of the original digital PlayStation pads, complete with that satisfying click.

For collectors, the PlayStation Classic occupies an interesting space — it's a first-party Sony product that doubles as a display piece and a genuine way to revisit some of the most influential games of the 32-bit era without hunting down individual discs. The emulation covers a solid cross-section of what made the original PlayStation special, from early 3D action games to JRPGs that defined a generation of storytelling in the medium.

The unit itself is compact and draws power via USB, making it easy to set up on a modern display with minimal fuss. As with any vintage or discontinued piece of hardware, some variation in performance is natural, and the photos on this page show you exactly what you're getting cosmetically.

This one is for the PlayStation faithful who want a piece of Sony gaming history on the shelf — or a ready-to-play hit of pure '90s console nostalgia.
