Item Description

Lightning splits the sky over the Windward Plains, the wind turns to a howl, and out of the storm comes Rey Dau, the thunder-wielding apex predator that rules the region when the weather turns violent. That living, shifting world is the heart of Monster Hunter Wilds. Capcom's 2025 entry is set in the Forbidden Lands, where each region cycles between Fallow, Inclemency and Plenty, transforming the terrain, the weather and the way monsters behave from one hour to the next.

The core loop is pure Monster Hunter: track a giant creature, learn its tells, bring it down, carve materials and forge better gear. Wilds smooths the path to the good part. Your Seikret, a fast bird-like mount, carries you across seamless maps with no loading between camp and hunting ground, and can hold a second weapon so you can switch mid-hunt. Focus Mode lets you aim attacks precisely and target wounds that open on a monster as the fight wears on, and bursting one with a Focus Strike is among the most satisfying beats the series has ever had. All fourteen weapon types return, from the Great Sword to the Hunting Horn.

It is also the most story-driven Monster Hunter yet. Your hunter joins a research expedition into the Forbidden Lands, guided by the handler Alma, and the trail leads to the mysterious white wyvern Arkveld. Each region, from the crimson Scarlet Forest to the fiery Oilwell Basin and the frozen Iceshard Cliffs, has its own apex monster and ecosystem to learn, and hunts were designed to be taken on solo or with up to three other hunters.

Wilds was a massive launch, selling more than eight million copies in its first three days, the fastest start in Capcom's history. The Lenticular Edition named in this listing is a PAL-region release, an import variant that will appeal to collectors who track regional editions of Capcom's biggest games, and it is a great way to experience the series at its most accessible and most spectacular on PlayStation 5.
