Item Description
Mirrormind Crown takes your token engine and points it at your best creature. Equip it, and the first time each turn you would create one or more tokens, you may create that many copies of the equipped creature instead. Suddenly the card that makes a Treasure, a Clue or a 1/1 is churning out duplicates of a dragon or a creature with a strong enter-the-battlefield trigger.
The combinations are where it gets wild. Every incidental token becomes another copy, another trigger and another attacker, and cards that make a token every turn turn the Crown into a once-per-turn cloning machine. As a four-mana colorless artifact with an equip cost of two, it fits into any deck, and it rewards exactly the kind of creative board-building Commander tables love to see.
This is the Lorwyn Eclipsed printing, collector number 258, illustrated by Dan Frazier, in foil. Lorwyn Eclipsed brought Magic back to Lorwyn in 2026, and the flavor text gives the Crown a suitably mischievous history: "Forged in Velis Vel, swiped by a clever merrow, and sold to a curious kithkin." Frazier's work goes all the way back to Magic's first sets, which gives this foil extra appeal for art collectors.
