Item Description
Khazad-dûm, the ancient Dwarf kingdom the Fellowship crosses on the road south, gets a land that plays the way a mine should: it digs through what's been left behind and turns it into treasure.
Mines of Moria taps for red mana and enters tapped unless you control a legendary creature, which in Commander usually means it arrives ready to use once your commander is on the battlefield. Later in the game, pay {3}{R}, tap it, and exile three cards from your graveyard to create two Treasure tokens, turning spent spells and fallen creatures into a burst of ramp or color fixing. Because it occupies a land slot rather than a spell slot, it gives red decks a useful mana sink at no real cost to the rest of the list, and Treasure and artifact strategies get extra fuel from every activation. For Tolkien collectors, it's the Dwarves' legendary home in card form.
