Item Condition
This is a loose Mega EverDrive X3 flash cartridge for the Sega Genesis: the cartridge only, with no manual or original packaging, and no microSD card included. It was tested before listing. The photos are of this exact item, so look them over closely. It ships carefully packed and protected.
Item Description
Imagine your whole Genesis shelf, plus the Master System games you never got around to owning, living on one cartridge that plays them on the real console. That is the appeal of the Mega EverDrive X3, krikzz's flash cartridge for the Sega Genesis and Mega Drive. Load games onto a microSD card, slot the cart into the console, and pick from a menu; titles boot in a matter of seconds on original hardware, through your own controllers and your own TV.
The X3 is the streamlined member of the Mega EverDrive X family, focused on the essentials. It runs Genesis and Master System software, handles 32X games when a 32X is attached, and keeps battery-backed game saves so long RPGs like Phantasy Star IV can be picked up where you left off. Game Genie and Pro Action Replay cheat codes are supported too, which makes revisiting a brutal 16-bit platformer a little friendlier.
For players it is a practical way to enjoy a deep library on authentic hardware without hunting down every cartridge, and a natural home for modern homebrew and fan translations. For collectors, it lets the original carts stay safely on the shelf while the EverDrive takes the daily wear.
