Item Description
The 2011 NFL season nearly did not happen. A lockout stretched through the summer, and Madden NFL 12 arrived just weeks after football came back, carrying the league as it stood heading into the Green Bay Packers' Super Bowl title defense. On the PSP, it was the last Madden ever released for the system, the final chapter of a run that started with the system's early years.
The handheld edition is built around a full set of modes. Quick games get you on the field in seconds, Franchise lets you chase a dynasty with your favorite team, Mini-Camp drills and Practice sharpen your skills, and Superstar Challenge hands you objectives to complete as one of 25 star players. Alongside the authentic offensive and defensive formations, you can create your own plays from scratch.
Ad hoc wireless play adds head-to-head games against a friend, which was always the best way to settle a Madden argument on the bus or in the dorm. As the final PSP Madden, it is the most current version of the series you can play on the handheld, a snapshot of the 2011 rosters and the closing bookend to the series' PSP years.
