Item Description
Loot, Exuberant Explorer looks small, a 1/4 Beast Noble for three mana, but it changes how your turns flow from the moment it lands. You may play an additional land on each of your turns, so every land in your hand becomes ramp instead of a dead draw.
Later in the game, Loot's second ability takes over. Pay {4}{G}{G} and tap it to look at the top six cards of your library, then put a creature card with mana value less than or equal to the number of lands you control directly onto the battlefield; the rest go to the bottom. With eight or nine lands in play that can drop a huge threat without casting it, and because you see six cards at a time, creature-heavy decks hit often. As a Commander, Loot leads a lands-matter green deck where landfall payoffs love the extra land drop.
This is the Foundations printing, collector number 106, illustrated by Arif Wijaya, in non-foil. Foundations was designed as a long-lived entry point for new and returning players, and Loot brings a welcome dose of personality to it.
