Item Description
Crack the whip, swing across a chasm, yank a Thuggee guard off a ledge: LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures captures the swashbuckling rush of the films with a toy-box sense of humor. Traveller's Tales covers all three original movies, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Temple of Doom and The Last Crusade, retelling their most famous set pieces in LEGO form with slapstick mime instead of dialogue, so the jokes land through timing and expression.
The highlights are the moments everyone remembers. Indy outruns the rolling boulder, fights his way out of a Shanghai nightclub, rides a runaway mine cart and works through the deadly trials guarding the Grail, and every one of them gets a playful LEGO twist. Familiar faces like Marion, Short Round, Willie Scott, Sallah and Henry Jones Sr. join in, many with abilities of their own.
That mix of talents is what drives the puzzles. Indy's whip swings him over gaps and pulls distant switches, Short Round fits through tiny hatches, Willie's ear-splitting scream shatters glass, and scholarly characters decipher ancient symbols that open hidden paths. Every level hides treasure and artifacts to track down, so replaying with new characters always reveals something you missed the first time.
As the first LEGO game to step outside Star Wars, it proved Traveller's Tales' formula could carry any great adventure series. On the PSP it packs all three films into a handheld, a lighthearted way to relive Indy's adventures or introduce a younger player to them.
