Item Description
Disney's Treasure Planet reimagined Long John Silver as a cyborg space pirate, and Lorcana's John Silver - Alien Pirate plays every bit like the cunning captain from the film. He's a six-cost Emerald Legendary, inkable, with 5 strength, 5 willpower and 2 lore.
His PICK YOUR FIGHTS ability is the hook. When you play him, and again every time he quests, you choose an opposing character to gain Reckless during their next turn, which means it can't quest and must challenge if able. Point it at their best lore-earner and you've cut off their lore while Silver collects 2 of his own; point it at a character that can only lose a challenge and you've steered them into a bad trade. That kind of repeated, turn-by-turn control is exactly what Emerald does best, and a 5/5 body means he holds up when he's challenged himself.
This is The First Chapter printing, collector number 82/204, from Lorcana's debut set, illustrated by Duyen Nguyen and Jared Nickerl, in non-foil. The flavor text has Silver waving off his own mechanical parts, a nod to the cybernetic arm and eye that defined the character on screen.
