Item Description

Jasmine always wanted to see the world beyond the palace walls, and Azurite Sea finally gives her a fleet. Jasmine - Royal Commodore is a Floodborn take on the princess as a naval commander, a six-cost Emerald character with 5 strength, 5 willpower and 2 lore.

Her real power comes through Shift. Pay 5 ink to play her on top of one of your characters named Jasmine, and RULER OF THE SEAS returns all other exerted characters to their players' hands. Because opponents' characters usually stay exerted after they quest or challenge on their turn, a Shifted Jasmine can sweep the board of their most active characters in one stroke. Play her before you quest, since your own exerted characters go back to hand too. That timing makes her a satisfying tempo swing for Emerald decks running several Jasmines, and her 5 willpower keeps her around once she lands. She is inkable, so she never clogs a hand when you are short on Shift targets.

This is the Azurite Sea printing, collector number 84/204, a Legendary-rarity card illustrated by Matthew Robert Davies, in non-foil. Azurite Sea took Lorcana on a seafaring adventure, and a commodore Jasmine is a fresh twist on one of Aladdin's best-loved heroines.
