Item Description
Two clans, one enchantment, and a choice that shapes the rest of the game. As Hollowmurk Siege enters you choose Sultai or Abzan, and the card becomes a different engine depending on your answer.
Choose Sultai and it draws you a card the first time each turn a counter is put on a creature you control. Any kind of counter qualifies, so +1/+1 counters, shield counters and the rest all keep the cards flowing. Choose Abzan and every time you attack, it puts a +1/+1 counter on target attacking creature and gives it menace until end of turn, building a bigger, harder-to-block threat with each combat.
That flexibility makes it a two-mana standout for black-green counters decks in Commander, where it can be a steady card-draw engine or an aggressive combat booster depending on the deck around it. It belongs to Tarkir: Dragonstorm's Siege cycle of two-color enchantments that each offer a choice between two of Tarkir's clans. This is the borderless printing, collector number 387, illustrated by Raymond Bonilla, in non-foil, with the artwork running edge to edge.
