Item Description
Herd Heirloom is the kind of two-mana green artifact that keeps paying off long after the ramp is done. Early on, it taps for one mana of any color to spend on a creature spell, pushing you from two lands to a four-drop on turn three and fixing colors for multicolor creature decks along the way.
Later, its second ability takes over. Tap it to give a creature you control with power 4 or greater trample until end of turn, plus the ability to draw you a card whenever it deals combat damage to a player. Since both abilities need a tap, you choose each turn between extra mana and pushing a big attacker through for a card, a flexible pairing that suits stompy green decks in Commander and casual play.
Tarkir: Dragonstorm returned to the plane of Tarkir in 2025, and this rare fits right in among the set's big creatures. This is the Tarkir: Dragonstorm printing, collector number 144, illustrated by Allen Morris, in foil.
