Disney Lorcana single: Hades - King of Olympus (Alternate Art), from The First Chapter. Our grade: Near Mint. Pictured: this printing of the card. Every card ships triple-sleeved — a soft sleeve, a deck sleeve and a rigid top loader.

Item Description

Hades spent all of Disney's Hercules scheming to take over Mount Olympus, and King of Olympus is the version where the plan finally works. This eight-cost Amber Floodborn character can Shift onto one of your characters named Hades for 6 ink, letting a smaller Hades earn his promotion early. His SINISTER PLOT ability gives him +1 lore for each other Villain character you have in play, so a board full of villains turns a 1-lore character into a lore engine.

With 6 strength and 7 willpower, he's also hard to challenge once he lands, which gives that lore engine time to run. Villain-heavy decks get more out of every schemer they play with Hades on top, and Shift lets the plan come together a turn or two sooner than his printed cost suggests. He's uninkable, a Villain, King and Deity all at once.

This is the alternate-art version from The First Chapter, the Enchanted printing numbered 205/204 and illustrated by Juan Diego Leon. Enchanted cards debuted in The First Chapter as Lorcana's premium rarity, reimagining characters in sweeping art that runs across the whole card, and this one gives the self-crowned king of the gods a showpiece worthy of his ego.
