Our grade: Near Mint. Pictured: this printing of the card. Every card ships triple-sleeved — a soft sleeve, a deck sleeve and a rigid top loader.
Item Description
Simic's philosophy of strength through diversity got a card of its own in Guardian Project, and Commander players have been grateful ever since. This four-mana green enchantment draws you a card whenever a nontoken creature enters under your control, as long as it doesn't share a name with another creature you control or a creature card in your graveyard.
In a singleton format that restriction almost never matters. Nearly every creature in a Commander deck has its own name, so Guardian Project turns green's natural game plan, casting lots of creatures, into a steady card-draw engine. Ramp decks refill as they drop threats, elf and creature-count decks keep their hand stocked, blink effects draw again as creatures re-enter, and even recasting your commander pays you a card. Tokens don't trigger it, so it rewards decks built around real creature cards.
This is the original Ravnica Allegiance printing, collector number 130, non-foil, with art by Chris Rallis. The flavor text sums up the guild in one line: “Simic's strength comes from its diversity.”
