Item Condition

This is a loose GBA Micro 20th Anniversary Edition — the unit itself, ready to hold and play. No box or original accessories are included, which is the norm for a vintage handheld finding its way to a new home. Coolection has fully tested this unit and it was performing as expected, though as with any piece of vintage hardware, real-world performance can vary a little depending on your setup and the cartridges you're running with it. If you'd like a closer look before committing, hit the "Request Additional Pictures" button on this page and we'll send over high-resolution shots of the exact unit in hand. Please refer to the provided photos for the exact details of the item's condition.

Item Description

The Game Boy Micro is Nintendo's smallest and most refined take on the Game Boy Advance hardware — a pocketable aluminum-bodied handheld that launched in 2005 and immediately stood apart from every other GBA revision. The 20th Anniversary Edition dresses it in a striking Famicom-inspired colorway, celebrating Nintendo's two decades of console history with a look that pays tribute to the original Family Computer that started it all. It's a piece of hardware that was visually bold at launch and has only grown more distinctive with time.

Despite its compact footprint, the Micro delivers a crisp, backlit screen — the brightest and sharpest display ever put on a GBA — with adjustable brightness levels so you can dial in exactly the experience you want. It plays the full library of Game Boy Advance games, making it a legitimate way to enjoy hundreds of beloved GBA titles on hardware that fits in your shirt pocket. The form factor genuinely earns its place: the buttons feel precise, the build quality is premium, and the screen makes you wonder why all GBAs didn't look this good.

For collectors, the 20th Anniversary Edition carries an extra layer of significance beyond the standard Micro. The Famicom color scheme connects two chapters of Nintendo history in one object, and it's the kind of hardware piece that looks as good displayed as it does in your hands during a play session. Whether you're filling a gap in your GBA hardware collection, hunting for a dedicated travel machine for your cartridge library, or simply want the best-looking way to revisit the GBA catalog, this is a unit with a real personality.

This one is for the Nintendo hardware enthusiast who wants a GBA that doubles as a conversation piece — functional, compact, and dripping with retro credibility.
