Item Condition
This is a pre-owned vintage Game Boy shoulder strap case. The interior plastic tray is missing. The zippers, straps and compartments are intact and functional, and the interior is clean. Look over the photos for condition and details. It ships carefully packed and protected.
Item Description
When the Game Boy reached North America in 1989, it changed where people played: back seats on road trips, school bus rides, waiting rooms and grandparents' couches. A shoulder-strap case was how that whole setup traveled, with the system, a few favorite cartridges and a fresh set of AA batteries kept together and slung over one shoulder.
This vintage case comes straight out of that era of four-AA marathons of Tetris, Super Mario Land and, a little later, Pokémon Red and Blue. It is the kind of everyday accessory that was carried everywhere and used hard, and seeing one today brings back the memory of packing for a trip and making sure the Game Boy came along.
For an original Game Boy collector, a period carrying case adds context that hardware alone cannot. Display it beside a DMG and a stack of loose carts and the shelf tells a fuller story of how people actually lived with the system. It also still does its original job, giving a classic handheld somewhere to ride along on the next trip.
