Item Description
Folio of Fancies is a fairy-tale book with a wicked last chapter. For two mana, this blue Book artifact removes the maximum hand size for every player. Then, for {X}{X} and a tap, each player draws X cards, and for {2}{U} and a tap, each opponent mills cards equal to the number of cards in their hand. Fill everyone's hand, then turn those full hands into a weapon.
Played straight, it is a two-card mill engine on its own: draw the table into huge hands, then mill opponents for the size of them. It slots perfectly into group-hug decks that want to look generous, and it gets nastier with punishers like Nekusar, the Mindrazer, who deals damage every time an opponent draws. Because everyone keeps every card, it is also an odd, entertaining political tool at a multiplayer table.
This is the Throne of Eldraine extended-art printing, collector number 343, a rare illustrated by Colin Boyer, offered here in non-foil, from the 2019 set that brought fairy tales and storybook magic to Magic's plane of Eldraine.
