Item Description
Based on the DreamWorks animated film of the same name, Flushed Away brings Roddy, Rita, and the underground world of Ratropolis to life on the PlayStation 2. The movie's sharp humor and colorful cast translate into a platformer built around exploration and action, letting you navigate the sprawling sewer city that made the film such a visual treat. It's one of those licensed games that actually commits to the source material, leaning into the film's personality rather than just slapping familiar faces on a generic template.
The PS2 version gives you plenty of the movie's signature world to run around in — cramped tunnels, waterlogged streets, and the chaotic energy of a civilization thriving beneath London's feet. The game captures the look of the CG animation reasonably well for the hardware, and fans of the film will immediately feel at home with the characters and setting. Roddy's fish-out-of-water charm carries through, and the gameplay is approachable enough to be genuinely fun without demanding too much from the player.
Complete in box copies of licensed PS2 games from the mid-2000s are increasingly harder to keep together — the manuals and boxes have a habit of going missing over the years — so having the full package intact is always a satisfying find for a collection. Whether you're building out a complete PS2 library or tracking down games tied to films you loved growing up, this one holds a specific nostalgic niche that's hard to replicate.
A great pick for anyone who grew up with the film or wants a lighthearted, complete-in-box PS2 platformer with a lot of personality to spare.
