Item Description
Final Fantasy II's hero was never a one-weapon fighter, and Firion, Wild Rose Warrior brings that arsenal to Magic. A hero of the Wild Rose rebellion against the Palamecian Empire, he's a three-mana 3/3 legendary Human Rebel Warrior built for Equipment decks.
Equipped creatures you control have haste, so anything you suit up can swing right away. Better still, whenever a nontoken Equipment you control enters, you create a token copy of it whose equip abilities cost 2 less to activate, sacrificed at the beginning of the next upkeep. That temporary copy is a free, cheap-to-equip extra weapon every time you cast Equipment, and any Equipment with an enters-the-battlefield effect fires twice. For Commander players building a red Equipment or Voltron deck, Firion is a fast, flavorful general that turns every new weapon into an immediate, hasty threat.
This is the Final Fantasy borderless printing, collector number 386, a rare illustrated by Kato Ayaka, offered here in non-foil.
