Item Description
Your graveyard is full of spells you'd love to cast again. Finale of Promise lets you do it for free. For X plus two red mana, you may cast up to one instant and up to one sorcery from your graveyard, each with mana value X or less, without paying their mana costs.
That turns every removal spell, burn spell and card-draw spell you've already used into fuel. Recast a sweeper and a draw spell in one turn, or replay the burn that finishes an opponent. The recast spells are exiled afterward, so the Finale is a big one-shot payoff rather than a loop. And at X of 10 or more it goes wild: each of those spells is copied twice, with new targets for the copies, so one card becomes six spells.
Red and Izzet spellslinger decks in Commander get the most out of it, especially lists packed with high-impact instants and sorceries. This is the War of the Spark printing, collector number 127, a mythic illustrated by Jaime Jones, offered here in non-foil, one of the five Finales from the set's climactic storyline.
