Item Description

Two games, one continuous story. This PlayStation 5 twin pack, released physically by Square Enix in 2025, pairs Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade with Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the first two chapters of the trilogy that retells the 1997 classic. Playing them back to back is the best way to experience the project as it was designed: Remake's dense, claustrophobic Midgar gives way to Rebirth's sprawling world beyond the city walls, and that contrast is part of the thrill.

Intergrade is the PS5 edition of Final Fantasy VII Remake, and it takes its time with Midgar in a way the original never could. The Sector 7 slums, the gaudy excess of Wall Market, Aerith's flower-filled church and the climb up the Shinra Building all get room to breathe, and Jessie, Biggs and Wedge finally become people rather than plot devices. Combat blends real-time action with ATB commands and a Tactical Mode that slows time while you choose abilities. Intergrade also adds INTERmission, a separate episode starring Yuffie Kisaragi and her partner Sonon on their own infiltration of Midgar.

Rebirth then breaks the party out into the wider world: the grasslands around Kalm, Junon, Costa del Sol, the Gold Saucer, Cosmo Canyon and beyond, each region with its own chocobo and plenty to discover. Synergy Skills and Synergy Abilities let party members fight in tandem, Yuffie and Cait Sith join the playable cast, and Queen's Blood, the in-world card game, can quietly swallow entire evenings.

Together the two games show Square Enix's reimagining at its most confident, with soundtracks that rework Nobuo Uematsu's melodies into new arrangements and a story that keeps longtime fans guessing about what has changed and why. Having both chapters together means the whole story so far sits in one place on your shelf, ready for the trilogy's final act.
