Item Description
Few moments in FINAL FANTASY IX hit as hard as the night Alexandria burns. With Bahamut tearing through the city and the castle under siege, Garnet and Eiko call on the castle's guardian, and Alexander unfolds its wings over the kingdom. The Siege of Alexandria captures that spectacle in Magic: The Gathering form.
Scene Boxes are the display pieces of Magic's FINAL FANTASY crossover. Six borderless foil cards line up edge to edge to form one panoramic illustration, and matching art cards present the same scene without rules text, ready to frame or set out whole.
The card names read like a scene from the game itself. Brilliant Wings and Judgment of Alexander bring the holy summon to the table, Mega Flare answers with Bahamut's signature attack, and Vivi's Persistence, Amarant Coral and Search for Dagger put the party right in the middle of the chaos as they race to find the princess. It is one of the most dramatic sequences in a game many fans consider the series' finest love letter to its own roots.
Every card is a real, playable Magic card, so the panorama can just as easily go into a Commander deck as onto a shelf. For FINAL FANTASY IX fans, it is a striking way to own the summon showdown that made that disc so memorable.
