Item Description
"I, Garland, will knock you all down!" For a generation of players, that line marked the first real fight of their FINAL FANTASY lives: four Light Warriors storming the Chaos Shrine to rescue Princess Sara from the knight who betrayed Cornelia. Garland at the Chaos Shrine captures the moment the whole series started.
Scene Boxes are built for display as much as play. Six borderless foil cards line up side by side to form one continuous panorama, and matching art cards show the same scene without rules text for framing or setting out on a shelf.
This scene puts the original party front and center. The Destined Warrior, The Destined White Mage, The Destined Black Mage and The Destined Thief face down Garland, Royal Kidnapper, with Chaos Shrine's Black Crystal completing the picture. Seeing the classic Warrior, Thief and mage classes from the 1987 original rendered as full-art Magic cards is a treat for anyone who started the series on the NES, and knowing where Garland's story eventually leads makes the scene even better.
Because the cards are fully playable, the panorama can live in a frame or in a Commander deck. Either way, it is a fitting tribute to the game that began FINAL FANTASY and a natural first piece for a shelf of these scenes.
