Item Description
Special Agent Francis York Morgan is always talking to someone named Zach. He tells Zach about his favorite 1980s movies while driving, reads his future in the foam of his morning coffee, and cracks cases with a calm, rambling confidence that makes the locals of Greenvale stare. Deadly Premonition is the strangest murder mystery on the PlayStation 3, and that is precisely why people fall for it.
York arrives in the small logging town of Greenvale to investigate the murder of a young woman, Anna Graham, and finds red seeds, a figure in a raincoat and a community full of secrets. From there the game unfolds as a slow-burning open-world detective story. Greenvale runs on its own clock, with day and night, shifting weather and residents who keep their own schedules, so solving the case means learning when and where people can be found. York needs to eat, sleep and change his suit, you can drive the roads, fish and take on side jobs for the townsfolk, and when night falls, the survival horror sections drag him into a twisted otherworld full of shambling enemies.
Director Hidetaka "Swery" Suehiro wears his love of Twin Peaks openly, and the game's mix of small-town melodrama, surreal humor and genuine dread has made it a cult classic. Its rough edges are part of the legend: Guinness World Records once named it the most critically polarizing survival horror game, a title fans wear with pride. Few games make you care this much about a town's diner regulars and their odd routines.
The Director's Cut is the version made for PlayStation 3, bringing HD visuals, reworked controls and support for PlayStation Move, along with a new story scenario written by Swery himself that frames York's investigation. It is the definitive way to visit Greenvale on console, and the kind of one-of-a-kind experience that only an auteur with a little budget and a lot of nerve could have made.

Deadly Premonition is a third-person survival horror action game which puts players in the role of the intuitive FBI Agent Francis York Morgan. In the process of investigating a murder, players will examine a series of interlocking mysteries in a remote rural town and will encounter an array of complex characters pivotal to the unraveling of the storyline's mystery. Suspenseful action sequences will force players to make strategic moves, gliding by enemies in the shadows or engaging them with long-range weapons or hand-to-hand melee combat. From the unparalleled atmosphere, music and mysterious storyline to driving vehicles and exploring the entire town, Deadly Premonition will offer players a unique and haunting interactive gaming experience unlike any other.
