Our grade: Near Mint. Pictured: this printing of the card. Every card ships triple-sleeved — a soft sleeve, a deck sleeve and a rigid top loader.
Item Description
Four mana, three words of rules text, and every creature on the battlefield is gone. Day of Judgment is the cleanest reset button Magic offers: no targets, no exceptions, no math. When an opponent has spent five turns building a board you cannot fight through, this is the sorcery that sends everyone back to square one, and the player who planned for it walks away ahead.
That symmetry is what makes it such a smart pickup for white decks. Control lists use it to buy time for planeswalkers and card draw, while Commander players running artifacts, enchantments or indestructible threats can build so the wipe hurts everyone but them. It is a close cousin of Wrath of God, and the only difference is that Day of Judgment does not stop regeneration, a mechanic that rarely comes up at a modern table. The flavor text sums up the attitude perfectly: "The gods didn't play favorites."
This is the Foundations printing, collector number 140, a rare illustrated by Vincent Proce, offered here in non-foil. Foundations was the 2024 core set designed as a home base for newer players, which makes this a natural first sweeper for a growing collection or a reliable spare for the deck that already leans on one.
