Item Description
How deep do you want to look? Consult the Star Charts answers with however many lands you control. The two-mana blue instant looks at that many cards from the top of your library and puts one into your hand, or two if you paid its kicker of one generic and one blue. The rest go to the bottom in a random order.
That scaling makes it a card that is never bad to draw. On turn three it is a modest bit of selection; on turn nine it sees nine cards and can find the exact counterspell, wrath or finisher the game calls for. Kicked, it is two hand-picked cards for four mana at instant speed, which lets blue players keep mana open on an opponent's turn and still use it if nothing needs answering. Ramp-heavy and lands-matter Commander decks squeeze the most from it.
This is the Edge of Eternities printing, collector number 51, illustrated by Antonio José Manzanedo, offered here in non-foil. Edge of Eternities was Magic's 2025 journey into science fiction, and the card's star-charting theme sits right at home there.
