A Siren who pins enemies in place with giant ethereal fists, a robot beastmaster who sends pets to maul your targets, a gunner who climbs into a mech called Iron Bear and a spy who fights alongside his own hologram: Borderlands 3 hands you four very different Vault Hunters in Amara, FL4K, Moze and Zane, and turns them loose on a galaxy full of guns.
Seven years after Borderlands 2, the Calypso twins, Troy and Tyreen, have built a cult called the Children of the Vault by streaming their mayhem to a galaxy of followers, and they want the power of every Vault for themselves. For the first time the fight leaves Pandora behind. Aboard the starship Sanctuary III you hop to the corporate city-planet Promethea, the swampy Eden-6, the monastery world of Athenas and beyond, with Lilith, Claptrap, Tannis, Moxxi, Rhys and a crowd of familiar faces along for the ride.
The core is still the series' irresistible loop: shoot, loot, compare stats, repeat. Weapons now come with alternate fire modes, and the manufacturers have sharper identities than ever, from Tediore guns that sprout legs and chase enemies after you throw them, to Maliwan weapons that switch elements on the fly, to Jakobs guns that reward precision. New movement options like sliding and mantling make firefights quicker, and each Vault Hunter has three skill trees and several action skills to choose from, with Zane able to run two at once, so builds get creative fast. Mayhem Mode cranks up the difficulty and the rewards once you hit the endgame.
Borderlands has always been best with friends, and on Xbox One the campaign supports two-player split-screen on a single console, a rare treat in a modern shooter. Loot can be set so every player gets their own drops, ending the old arguments over who grabbed the legendary. Brash, crude and buried in gear, it is the series at its biggest, and the most varied set of Vault Hunters Gearbox has built.

Borderlands 3 is a first-person looter shooter set seven years after the events of Borderlands 2. Players select one of four new Vault Hunters and travel across multiple planets to stop Troy and Tyreen Calypso, twin cult leaders seeking to harness the power of alien Vaults scattered throughout the galaxy.
