Item Description

Blacklance Paragon is an ambush waiting in your hand. This two-mana black Human Knight is a 3/1 with flash, and when it enters, target Knight gains deathtouch and lifelink until end of turn. Since the Paragon is a Knight itself, the simplest play is to flash it in as a surprise blocker that kills whatever it touches, or to drop it at the end of an opponent's turn and swing with a deathtouch, lifelink 3/1 on yours.

Knight decks get even more mileage from it. Flash it in after blockers are declared to give one of your attacking Knights deathtouch and lifelink, turning a bad trade into a blowout and a big attacker into a huge life swing. In Throne of Eldraine's Knight-heavy draft environment and in Knight tribal Commander decks alike, that flexibility makes a cheap creature play like a removal spell with a body attached.

This is the Throne of Eldraine extended-art printing, collector number 351, a non-foil illustrated by Victor Adame Minguez. The extended frame drops the flavor text box and lets the artwork run wider across the card, giving this ambush Knight a bolder presentation.
