The four nations, the four elements and Aang's long road to facing the Fire Lord: Avatar: The Last Airbender: Quest for Balance retells the whole story of the Nickelodeon series in one family-friendly adventure. Developed by Bamtang Games and published by GameMill Entertainment in 2023, it walks through all three seasons of the show, from the South Pole to the final confrontation, with chapters set in places fans will recognize instantly.
You control Team Avatar, swapping between characters to solve problems with each one's strengths. Aang is the only one who can double-jump, Katara brings healing to the team and Sokka is a hard-hitting damage dealer, with more allies such as Toph unlocking as the story goes on, and even Prince Zuko taking a turn as a playable character at times. Much of the game is built around using each hero's element to clear obstacles, open paths and work through environmental puzzles. Between story beats there are side quests from townsfolk, vendors selling skill upgrades for the coins you collect, and races against Momo that reveal hidden goodies.
It is a relaxed, approachable game rather than a hardcore action title, and that makes it a good fit for younger players and for families who grew up with the show. A second player can join in for co-op, which is where the game is at its most fun, and a Free Mode lets you revisit finished levels to hunt collectibles. The faithful retelling of Aang's journey makes it an easy way to revisit the series together, especially for viewers introducing the story to a new generation.
