Item Description
Agent of Treachery doesn't destroy your opponent's best permanent. It takes it. When the Agent enters, you gain control of any target permanent for good, whether that's a creature, a land, an artifact or a planeswalker. Control three or more permanents you don't own at the beginning of your end step and you draw three cards, every turn, which turns a single steal into a runaway advantage.
At seven mana it's a top-end payoff, and that's where Commander players get creative. Flicker effects re-trigger the steal, reanimation decks cheat it into play early, and clone effects copy the enter trigger for another theft. Since its debut in Core Set 2020 it has been a headline threat for blue control and blink decks, and few things change the mood of a table faster than an opponent's commander switching sides.
This is the Avatar: The Last Airbender Eternal printing, collector number 9, a borderless full-art card offered here in non-foil. Instead of a painted illustration, it uses artwork taken directly from the animated series, putting a scene from the show onto one of blue's most feared top-end creatures.
